What ReadmeBio processes and why.
This page explains the information used to run accounts, publish profiles, measure profile activity, and provide paid features.
Effective August 4, 2026
Information the service processes
- Account details such as email address, display name, handle, and sign-in session data.
- Draft and published profile content, links, images, style choices, and publishing settings.
- Connection settings and data returned by services you choose to connect.
- Profile activity such as page views, link clicks, referrers, and the block involved in an interaction.
- Membership and billing references needed to keep plan status in sync with Stripe.
- Form responses submitted to a published profile when the profile owner has response storage through Pro.
- Technical request information used to deliver the service, prevent abuse, and diagnose errors.
How the information is used
- Authenticate accounts and keep signed-in sessions working.
- Save drafts, publish profiles, and provide the editing tools you request.
- Show profile owners the visible analytics window included with their plan.
- Store and display form responses for eligible Pro profiles.
- Operate billing, email delivery, integrations, support, security, and troubleshooting.
Public and account-only information
A published profile and the content placed on it are public. Anyone with the URL may view or share that content. Drafts, account settings, billing details, stored form responses, and owner analytics are intended for the signed-in account.
Search engines and other services may retain copies of public content after a profile is changed or unpublished. ReadmeBio does not control those external copies.
Cookies and profile analytics
ReadmeBio uses a session cookie to keep account holders signed in. Public profile activity is measured for owner analytics without requiring a visitor account.
Free and Pro plans have different analytics query-visibility windows. These windows control which recent events an owner can view; they do not physically delete older operational records or promise when those records will be deleted.
Service providers and connected services
ReadmeBio relies on service providers for hosting, storage, email delivery, and billing. Stripe processes checkout and payment details; ReadmeBio stores the customer, subscription, and membership references needed to manage access.
When you connect an external service, information is exchanged as needed to complete that connection and display the requested profile content. The external service has its own terms and privacy practices.
Your choices
- Edit or unpublish profile content from the workspace.
- Disconnect supported integrations from account settings.
- Manage a paid subscription through the billing portal.
- Contact support with access or correction questions and to ask which account-deletion options are currently available.
Retention and changes
ReadmeBio does not currently publish one fixed deletion period for every record type. Some operational records may remain after content changes or an account request; contact support before relying on a specific deletion timeline.
This notice may be updated as the product or its providers change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
